Vintage George Butler of Sheffield ‘Sheba’ Stainless Steel 48 Piece Cutlery Set
An extensive set of good quality, statement vintage cutlery. Designed by George Butler for Butler of Sheffield, this cutlery is forged in Sheffield stainless steel with signature, black molded Delrin handles as part of their popular Sheba range. There are six of all key pieces, apart from the forks – there are five of each size – but individual pieces can be easily acquired if you wished to complete the set. The set of six steak knives comes boxed, obviously bought at a later date from Harrods, no less! They’re a lovely weight to use at the table. We love the exaggerated round head of the soup spoon, and the playful, neat shape of the knives.
Description
This original, used set of cutlery is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, vintage condition. The set of six steak knives comes boxed but the rest if loose. There is some minor splits on one or two of the Delrin handles but no wobbles at all – they are perfectly usable and should be gently washed by hand. There is also a little colour fading / greying on the black handles too. We’ve shown this in our photos.
