Vintage G Plan ‘Fresco’ Teak Extending Oval Dining Table

If you’re on the hunt for a smart, well-made, robust family dining table, you can’t go wrong with this super model from G Plan. From their still-popular Fresco range, it’s heavy and substantial, made in teak with a darker afromosia edge adding a subtle note of distinction. It’s a generous oval for four to six depending on the dining chairs and we always think oval is the best shape for encouraging lively discourse over food! It can easily switch up for bigger entertaining too with G Plan’s patented, hidden extension. Pull the two sides apart and fold out the extension to comfortably accommodate eight dinner guests. This table comes in excellent condition with only the lightest signs of wear and tear. It’s been well looked after.

Description

This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good – excellent, used condition. The table top has been carefully restored. This involved stripping the original finish away, then applying a hard-wearing wax finish and finally a polish and buff. The legs, extension section and lower trim have been cleaned and a natural beeswax applied. There are only light signs of wear and tear, primarily on the lower legs. The table top is near-immaculate, so to is the extension section. The hinges, foldout mechanism and runners are all in good working order. It’s a very well-made piece that’s weighty, solid and sturdy. The G Plan label can be seen underneath. Please do browse our photos for an accurate sense of colour and condition.
