Vintage Danish Metallic Grey Spotlight Floor Lamp – Fully Restored
A particularly tall floor lamp with an elegant, single, gunmetal grey trumpet spotlight that can be height-adjusted and rotated on its arm to get the lighting just right. Hailing from Denmark, it dates from the late sixties / early seventies 1970s and comes with considerable style. We love the gold arm and stem against the steely grey of the spotlight. It carries some of life’s scuffs, knocks and scratches too but nevertheless this is a very good looking retro lamp that would fit effortlessly into the modern home, adding a subtle touch of bling.
Description
This original, vintage floor lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition and has been fully restored with care and expertise. The lamp has been rewired with new black, fabric-braided flex, an energy efficient bulb, a new, independent switches and plug, and it has PAT tested to meet modern regulations. The spotlight can be angled with the screw arm joint, and it can be height-adjusted on the main stem by unscrewing / tightening these arms. As you can see from our photos, the metalwork carries minor tarnishes, small dents and scratches, as does the weighted base, as you might expect with a vintage piece but overall these are minor and don’t greatly detract from the appeal of the piece. Indeed, it’s part of its history and charm. It comes from Denmark and dates from the late 1960s / early 1970s.
