Vintage Chapel Church Chair with Book / Bible Back #1

You don’t get more quaintly British than this… a traditional, vintage chapel chair with slatted back and an integrated bible / book holder. Robustly made in pale beech and elm for regular use in churches its design favours function over form (it’s a rather upright sit) but it has considerable old-fashioned charm and character. It would make a great talking point round a kitchen table or as an occasional chair around the house. And we’ve been reliably informed you can fit bottles of beer in the back too! Description

This used, vintage chair is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, original condition. The frame has been checked, cleaned and a neutral, natural wax polish applied but it’s not been restored. As you can see from our photos, it is worn and faded with use and there are minor, superficial scuffs and marks as you might expect on a vintage chair. This doesn’t affect its function and it is stable and solid with no joint concerns or repairs.  Do browse our photos for an accurate sense of its condition. Delivery
We offer FREE LOCAL DELIVERY within a 15 mile radius of CB9 7XU. Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with our delivery partners who cover most of the country (enquire for Scotland or remote addresses) and are reliable and insured – we have worked with them for many years. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-3 days later. The delivery service we can offer does require a little flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but you would be kept updated directly. You are also welcome to collect from us in Haverhill, Suffolk and we’re happy to hold pieces after purchase while you consider your options and make collection arrangements.
