Vintage 1970s S Form Teak Extending Dining Table by Sutcliffe of Todmorden
If you’re looking for a well-made, hard-wearing family dining / kitchen table, you can’t go wrong with this super S Form one by British maker, Sutcliffes of Todmorden. Made with a teak veneer table top and solid teak legs, it’s a generous oval for four to six depending on the size of the dining chairs. It can easily switch up for bigger entertaining too with a clever, fold-out mechanism hidden in the middle. Pull the two sides apart and fan out the extension to comfortably accommodate eight dinner guests, taking the width to over 2.1M. This table comes in great condition with only light signs of wear and tear. A really solid, practical vintage piece.

Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition. We have checked and cleaned the table, applying a natural beeswax polish but otherwise the finish is original. The table extends by pulling the two halves open to reveal the folded extension section in the middle. This fans out and flattens and the two sides are then pushed back in to create a seamless table top. All mechanisms and hinges are in very good working order. There are minor signs of wear and tear to both the table top and the legs – faint scratches, dents, particularly on two of the inside legs as shown, and some areas of sunlight fading. Overall though, we would categorise this as light. It’s a well-made piece that’s solid built and sturdy. The S Form label can be seen on the extension.
