Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition. We have checked, cleaned and polished this piece inside and out, applying a natural beeswax polish to the exterior wood surfaces. It’s a two part, freestanding piece where the upper section simply sits on the base. It’s perfectly stable and secure but we would recommend that the upper unit is secured to the base unit with brackets for piece of mind. The upper section features a glass door bookcase with three adjustable shelves inside. There is a further open, adjustable shelf that sits below the bookcase. The top section is in very good order. The bookcase comes with a working lock and key and is clean and tidy inside. All shelves are in good order with just light signs of wear. The lower cupboard has an adjustable shelf inside and again, a clean interior. The exterior wood is a little knocked here and there. On the cupboard top there was a small area of damage which we have filled and repaired – please see our photo. One of the handles had been poorly repaired too which we have remedied with a clean, almost unnoticeable fix. All doors, closures and hinges are in good, working order. Overall there are light knocks and scuffs but the wear and tear is minor and in line with what we might expect with a vintage piece of this nature. Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with trusted delivery partners who cover most of the country (enquire for Scotland or remote addresses) and are reliable and insured. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-5 days later. The delivery service we can offer does require a little flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but you would be kept updated.
