Vintage 1970s Danish Teak Record Cabinet / Shelf Unit
Vinyl junkie? This one’s for you. A Danish vintage record unit with an open, sectioned top for showcasing your very rarest 12 inches and two spacious cupboards below with adjustable shelves for more vinyl and for stowing your headphones and 7 inches perhaps. Although taller than your average 1970s teak veneer sideboard at 105cm in height, it’s not so tall that you couldn’t put your turntable on top. And of course it doesn’t have to be used for records – it functions has a handsome bookcase / shelf unit and those sections can be removed or adjusted to suit. A smart, tidy storage piece for your lounge, living space or family room.
Description
This is a used, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, original condition. We have cleaned the cabinet inside and out and applied a natural beeswax polish to the exterior surfaces. There are just light signs of wear and tear, nothing to flag. The doors are in good order with well-attached, feature silver metal handles. The lower cupboards are clean and tidy inside, and have height-adjustable shelves on either side. The open top has a sectioned side, designed original for record storage. The sections are adjustable, sliding forward. It sits on solid wood, turned, tapered legs, most likely added at a later date. It was imported directly from Denmark. It’s well-made, solid and stable. Sadly there is no maker’s mark.
