Description
This original, vintage chair is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. The wooden frame has been cleaned and a natural beeswax polish applied but otherwise the finish is original. There are four cushions, all of which are in very good order with working zips and plump inners. The beige, subtly striped wool fabric is in great order with no marks or areas of wear to flag, just light signs of use. The fixed upholstery on the frame is also in very good order, hugging the contours of the frame tightly. The finishing fabric underneath the seat cushion is in great condition too. The wooden frame carries some very light knocks and surface scuffs. It was imported directly from Denmark and it dates from the early 1970s. Although there is no maker’s label, the design, dimensions and quality construction lead us to believe it’s a G Thams lounge chair for Grant Mobelfabrik. These are more commonly seen in leather so this may have been reupholstered in later years. Do browse our numerous photos for an accurate sense of its colour and superb condition. If you would like to view the chair or have any questions at all, please do get in touch.
