Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition. We have cleaned the piece thoroughly, followed by oil and a wax polish, completing a partial restoration to even out some of the wear and tear through use. The three doors all move with ease and have closures in good order. They are in good, clean order inside too with moveable shelves. The three top drawers also move freely and are clean and tidy inside. The right hand drawer is lined and sectioned for cutlery. The exterior wood does carry signs of aging and use, like the scrape on the right hand side end panel. It’s minimal overall and only really noticeable up close but this is a piece that has been well-used and so there are scuffs, dents and marks across the external surfaces. If you browse our numerous photos you will get an accurate sense of this. Nevertheless, this is a rare find and a really well-made, elegant piece from a highly reputable British furniture maker, and these signs of age don’t detract greatly from its appeal and certainly not its function. The sideboard is sturdy and solid with no signs of repair. The furniture shop stamp where the item was originally purchased from can be seen inside a cupboard door, and at the back of the cupboard you can see the RHF stamp and date.
