Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition. We have thoroughly cleaned the cabinet inside and out, and applied a natural beeswax polish to the external surfaces but otherwise left the original finish alone. The cabinet has been rewired with braided black flex, new bulbs and fittings and PAT tested. The two lower curved cupboard doors swing with ease, have a working lock and key, have closures and inner bolts in good order. The cupboard features a fixed shelf and the interior surfaces are lightly marked from use, shown in our pictures. Each door features three bottle holders. When switched on, the cupboard is illuminated on the inside as well as the outside, through the panels at either side. The top section opens by pulling down the ornate brass handle and if switched on (there is a switch at the back) the interior light automatically illuminates. This door creates a platform for mixing drinks and the top opens too to reveal the original lemons squeezer and cocktail sticks, all present and correct. The interior is mirrored and there are the original party graphics on the back panel. All hinges, mechanisms, handles and closures are in very good working order. There is light wear to the mirrors and the interior beech wood here, which can be seen in our photos. All handles, gold trim and fixtures are original and securely attached. The exterior surfaces of this large piece are worn with age and use. This is clearly visible in our photos so do browse them. It’s primarily small chips, surface marks and light cracks to the original high sheen varnish and veneer edges. The Rivington marker’s mark can be seen inside. It’s a large piece (heavy too!), very well-made, sturdy and substantial.
