Vintage 1950s Wilson & Garden Ltd Revolving School Blackboard
Every busy home needs one of these – a big, shouty blackboard for reminders, shopping lists, messages and tasks. This vintage, freestanding board, dating from the 1950s, features a revolving screen so lots of space for scribbles. It sits on a wooden frame on castors so can be readily moved about. There’s even a groove for your chalk at the bottom. Lots of fun, this is an unusual, eclectic statement piece that could be put to great use in a lively household or workplace.
Description
This original, used piece is ‘sold as seen’. It’s in good-very good, vintage condition. We have lightly cleaned the piece but otherwise left the original finish alone. The revolving mechanism is in very good, working order, as are the black screens, designed to be written on in chalk. The wooden frame is in very good order structurally, as are the castors it sits on for easily manoeuvre. There are superficial knocks and scuffs to the wood in line with its age and use. The Wilson & Garden Ltd plate can be seen on the side of the piece.
