Vintage 1950s Voyage Brown Travel Trunk / Luggage Chest

This is a particularly good-looking, voyage chest of a generous size. With bentwood braces and metal caps on its corners, this case was built for serious travelling and the marks and knocks on its surfaces show its seen something of the world.  Although the modern explorer doesn’t use such trunks these days, they make excellent attractive storage in today’s home, perfect for the easy stowing away of toys, shoes, games and much more. We like these trunks repurposed as coffee tables or bed stands, as they are a good height and overall size for this. They also make original wedding gifts providing old-fashioned, characterful storage space for memories and photos from the special day.
