Set of Six Midcentury Danish Teak & Cord Dining Chairs by Arne Hovmand Olsen for Mogens Kold

A very fine set of vintage Danish dining chairs with an outstanding pedigree, designed by Arne Hovmand Olsen for Mogens Kold in the 1960s. They are remarkably good original condition with very few signs of age to their solid teak frames or indeed the woven paper cord seats, usually the first place to show signs of wear. Their style is simple, elegant and elongated, and they look both mid century and contemporary at the same time, a sign of timeless design.

Description

This original, vintage set of six chairs is ‘sold as seen’. All the chairs are in overall very good, used condition. The chairs have been checked, cleaned and a natural wax polish applied to the frames to retain and revive their original finish. They are constructed in solid teak with woven paper cord seats which we believe to be original. There are some very minor surface scuffs and signs of wear as you would expect with used, vintage chairs of this age but overall they are in superb condition.
