Set of Four Vintage Dining Chairs by Leslie Dandy for G Plan
Here is a fine set of four mid-century G Plan dining chairs, designed by Leslie Dandy and dating from the late 1960s / early 1970s. They have solid teak frames and are superbly crafted. The chair design is tall and elegant, with high, supportive backs that are contoured and wide comfortable seats. The seat pads are covered in a deep red burgundy velvet that’s in fantastic order but if this didn’t suit, recovering the pads with new fabric would be an easy, inexpensive job. The unfussy, classic design of this dining chair set means it would partner easily with any dining table, whether that be G Plan or otherwise.

Description
This original, vintage set of four dining chairs is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, the chairs are in good – very good, used condition. The solid teak chairs frames have been thoroughly cleaned, checked and polished with a 100% natural beeswax product. We have completed some repair work on one of the chair legs where there was a small split in the wood at the join with the side stretcher. This has been glued and secured and we have no concerns about the stability but in the interests of transparency we want to flag this and this repair is reflected in our price. Please refer to our photo. Otherwise, there are just light scuffs and knocks to the wooden frames. They’re in great order which you can see reflected in our photos. Similarly, the deep, claret red velvet upholstery is in great order too which nothing to flag. Should you wish to recover them, it’s an easy, inexpensive job for the professional upholsterer or the hobbyist as they are wraparound seats. All four chairs are solid and stable with no wobbles. As you can appreciate from our photos, these chairs are superbly crafted. The G Plan label is affixed to the underside. If you have questions or would like to view these chairs, just get in touch.

Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with specialist drivers who cover most of the country (please enquire for Scotland or remote addresses). Our delivery partners are reliable and insured, and we have worked with them for a number of years. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-3 days later.
