Pair of Matching Midcentury Rosewood Danish Cabinets
It’s unusual for us to acquire two matching cabinets of this kind and quality at once so we struck gold with this pair. Made in Denmark, their design is classically midcentury – clean, elegant, functional. The main event here is the Brazilian rosewood. The grain across the sliding doors is gorgeous with richly toned patterns and forms emerging the more you look. Each cabinet contains adjustable shelves on each side so they could be used for record storage. It would be lovely to keep this vintage pair together, although we have listed them separately too. They would look magnificent as large bedside stands if you have a particularly palatial bedroom. Or they would provide handsome, freestanding storage either side of a chimney stack. They come in very good condition indeed with very few signs of wear and tear.
Description
This pair of original, vintage cabinets is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, they are in very good, used condition. We have cleaned the pieces, inside and out, applying a natural beeswax polish to the exterior surfaces to restore their shine. The doors slide freely in their runners. All interiors and shelves are clean and tidy with just light signs of use. The shelves are adjustable by moving shelf pegs. The external wood surfaces are in very good order with just light marks here and there. The solid wood legs have been added at a later date. Please browse our photos for a good sense of their super overall condition. They are well made, Danish in origin and imported directly, although sadly we do not have a maker’s name.
