Original Midcentury Teak Record Cabinet with Bifold Doors

This stylish, neatly proportioned cabinet in teak is the perfect home for your precious vinyl. Open the doors to reveal the fixed, sectioned interior, ready for your favourite albums and EPs. It’s British in origin and well-made with classic, clean, mid-century lines. We love the bifold doors, an unusual design feature, and we love the overall height of the cabinet. A handsome, vintage piece with considerable retro charm and lots of use in the modern home. Of course, this compact cabinet can be used for magazines, papers and other storage, if record collecting isn’t your thing.

Description

This original, midcentury record cabinet is ‘sold as seen’. Overall it is in good – very good, used condition. The piece has been cleaned, inside and out, and a natural beeswax polish applied and buffed on the external surfaces, but otherwise the finish is original and in great condition. The two bifold doors open and close with ease and have closures in good working order. The interior is clean and tidy and there are fixed record dividers in place. There are very minor marks and dents here and there to the exterior wood, and a little sunlight fading on the cabinet top – please refer to our photos. We have added a set of vintage teak legs to the cabinet. Originally it had beech legs but was acquired without so it seemed fitting to add some to the height it would have been. The cabinet is solid and sturdy.
