Description
This original, vintage linocut print is ‘sold as seen’. It is in fair condition. The print is surface-mounted under glass in its original frame. It is titled and signed in pencil and dated ’64 and the original Leningrad gallery label is on the reverse of the piece. The print is rather grubby with numerous flecks and marks around the borders primarily – this is shown across our photos. We have done some very gentle surface cleaning which has helped a little but it would benefit from expert attention to truly bring it back to life. The image itself is still crisp, bright and vivid. If you wished to enjoy the print as it is, you could opt to have it reframed with a mount which would cover a lot of the marked borders but could still show the signature and title. The original frame is knocked and chipped here and there as shown. We would recommend speaking to a professional framer to explore options. Please refer to our photos for a good sense of condition and colour. Note: although we have done our best to mitigate reflections and light glare, inevitably there is a little.
