Original Danish Dark Orange Wool Lounge Chair with Leather Piping
A classic Scandinavian lounge chair, sleek and compact with a pared back elegance and handsome profile from all sides. The dark orange wool upholstery is sophisticated but not dull, a colour that you can play up or down, adding in other earthy tones or partnering with bright, brash bolds. The chair’s a Danish original of a very fine quality both in terms of its frame and design but also the standard of the upholstery. We love the brown leather piping around its seams and edges. As you might imagine it strikes the perfect balance of comfort and support. A classy chair that would work in any room from lounge to bedroom to office.

Description
This original, vintage chair is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have given the chair a thorough vacuum, applying a natural beeswax polish to the wooden legs. The orange wool upholstery is in very good condition throughout. There is a single seat cushion in excellent order with a working zip, plump inner and securely attached brown leather piping. Handily, the cushion is reversible too meaning it can be turned. The fixed wool upholstery is in very good order too hugging the lines of the frame tightly. Again, the leather piping which runs around the edges and seams is securely sewn in. There is a small, dark mark on the fabric at the back of the chair. It looks to be where the chair has been pushed against something and rubbed a little. It’s minor and not especially noticeable – please refer to our photos. There are some very light marks to the solid wood legs but again, minor wear and tear. It’s superbly constructed, solid and sturdy with no wobbles. It was imported directly from Denmark but we know little more about it than that other than it’s a very fine quality piece. We would hazard a guess that it dates from the 1980s, such is its great order. Do browse our photos for a good sense of its condition. Any questions, please do ask.

Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with specialist drivers who cover most of the country (please enquire for Scotland or remote addresses). Our delivery partners are reliable and insured, and we have worked with them for a number of years. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-3 days later. Please be aware the delivery service we can offer does require some flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but they will keep you updated directly regarding their anticipated timings.
