Original 1970s Silver Danish Floor Lamp with Double Long Trumpet Spotlights – Fully Restored
A particularly striking, vintage floor lamp with exaggerated, brushed silver trumpet spotlights. Their shape and length remind us of those large torches, used in crime dramas. They’re wonderfully sculptural angled any which way, and we love the openness behind the head which, when turned on, throws a ring of light out here too. The brushed silver of the aluminium gives a matt finish. The light has been fully restored, rewired with black fabric braided flex and a floor switch. Those elongated, narrow-bodied spotlights can be height-adjusted, rotated and angled to get the glow just right. Imported from Denmark, it dates from the 1970s.
Description
This original, vintage floor lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition and has been fully restored with care and expertise. The lamps have been rewired with new black, fabric-braided flex, energy efficient bulbs, a double floor switch and plug, and it has PAT tested to meet modern regulations. The spotlights can be angled and tilted with the ball joint arms, and they can be height-adjusted on the main stem by unscrewing / tightening these arms. As you can see from our photos, the metalwork carries very minor tarnishes, small dents and scratches, as does the weighted base, as you might expect with a vintage piece but these are minor and don’t in any way detract from the appeal of the piece. Indeed, they are part of its history and charm. It’s imported from Denmark and dates from the 1970s.
