Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have checked, cleaned and polished this piece, applying a natural beeswax polish to the exterior wood surfaces but otherwise the finish is original. All four tambour doors are immaculately made with the slats almost invisible at a glance. They roll with ease. The top cocktail cabinet section features a mirrored back and a discreet integral light (the unit plugs in at the back, has been rewired and PAT tested). There is an inlaid, slide-out mixing platform which also rolls back and forth with ease. The lower cupboard is double-sided. The left side features an adjustable shelf. The right side features two extending shelves, each with a removable tray / drawer on top. All interiors are intact, original and in very good – excellent working order. The exterior wood surfaces do carry some faded areas, marks and light signs of wear and tear. This is primarily concentrated on the top surface where sunlight exposure has bleached the wood a lighter shade – you can see from our photos, something rectangular lived on top, protecting this particular area. Given the height of the cabinet, this doesn’t feel like a big issue, especially as it’s likely the top would have display items on it. There is a small filled chip on the front but it’s discreet – please refer to our photos. It’s very well-crafted, solid and stable. The Dyrlund maker’s badge can be seen inside the top cabinet. Note: this is a very heavy item that cannot be dismantled. If you’d like to view this cabinet or have any questions whatsoever, please do get in touch.
