Midcentury Danish 1970s Brown Bubble Spotlight Floor Lamp – Fully Restored
These vintage, Danish bubble lamps make a quiet statement without showing off. They’re wonderfully quirky, fun pieces. Obviously retro, their vintage charm works in a modern setting, mixing well with more contemporary pieces and styles. This chocolate brown, high gloss floor light has been carefully restored and although it may carry a few light superficial knocks and chips here and there, these don’t detract from its appeal and function in anyway. The spotlight can be height adjusted and angled. It hails from Denmark, dates from the 1970s and is most likely by ES Horn but sadly there is no label in place now.
Description
This original, vintage floor lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition and has been fully restored with care and expertise. The spotlight has been rewired with new black, fabric-braided flex, energy efficient bulb, along with new switch and plug, and it has PAT tested to meet modern regulations. It can be angled with the screw arm joint, and height-adjusted on the main stem by unscrewing / tightening the joint. As you can see from our photos, the metalwork / finish carries light tarnishes, small dents and chips, primarily around the spotlight rim (please see our photos), as does the weighted base. This is as you might expect with a vintage piece but these are minor and don’t in any way detract from the appeal of the piece. Indeed, they are part of its history and charm. It’s imported from Denmark, dates from the 1970s and is most likely by ES Horn.
