Midcentury 1970s Teak Record Cabinet with Lower Shelf Rack
A really well-made, double door, vintage cabinet dating from the 1970s and British in origin, designed to store your precious vinyl collection. Slide the doors to find a sectioned interior and there’s a further slatted shelf rack below for more records (can you really ever have enough?) or magazines. We like that it’s a touch larger / taller than many vintage record cabinets. The depth and height are ideal for a turntable on top. We also like the darker base and legs, a super note of distinction. A nice slice of midcentury design.
Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have checked and cleaned the piece inside and out, applying a natural beeswax polish to the exterior surfaces but otherwise we’ve left the original finish alone as it’s in such good order throughout. The front doors slide with ease in their runners and are in very good order. The interior is sectioned with fixed dividers and is in good, clean order throughout. The exterior wood has a few minor knocks and scuffs here and there but as you can see from our photos the wear and aging is very minimal. The cabinet sits on a slatted base providing a further shelf. It’s a nicely made piece with no areas of concern to flag. There is no maker’s mark but the design says 1970s and British.
