Midcentury 1970s Teak Record Cabinet with Beech Interior

A well-made, double door cabinet for your precious vinyl, dating from the 1970s and British in origin. Open the door to find a contrasting beech-lined interior, sectioned for records and with a shelf above. The slatted base below provides a further shelf for more records (can you really ever have enough?) or magazines. A nice slice of midcentury.

Description

This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition. We have checked and cleaned the piece inside and out, applying a natural beeswax polish to the exterior surfaces but otherwise we’ve left the original finish alone as it’s in such good order throughout. The cabinet doors swing with ease with hinges and magnetic closures in good order. The interior is beech-lined and features sections for records and an upper shelf. The external wood has a few minor knocks and scuffs here and there but as you can see from our photos the wear and aging is minimal. The cabinet sits on a slatted base providing a further shelf. It’s a nicely made piece with no areas of concern to flag. There is no maker’s mark but the design says 1970s and British. Do browse our photos for a good sense of its condition and colour.
