Midcentury 1970s Swedish Deep Orange ‘Mars’ Pendant Lampshade by Ateljé Lyktan – Fully Restored

The wonder of this lampshade is when it’s illuminated – it goes from a deep burgundy brown to a warm burnt orange, creating a a vivid ombre effect. Made in acrylic with metal fittings, a white inner finish and newly rewired with white fabric, braided flex, it’s ready to go into position. It hails from Sweden and is the Mars lampshade by Ateljé Lyktan.

Description

This original, vintage lampshade is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition. We have cleaned and fully restored it with new, compliant fittings and with a generous length of fabric-coated, white, braided flex, ready for it to be wired into place on a ceiling (we would recommend using a qualified electrician for this). There are some light marks here and there, including a crack about an inch long to the outer acrylic finish (shown in our photos) but this isn’t particularly noticeable and certainly wouldn’t be when elevated and in position.
