Description
This original, vintage sofa is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have checked and cleaned the sofa, applying a natural beeswax polish to the on-show wooden frame and a natural, nourishing conditioner to the leather upholstery. There are three separate, contoured cushions, all in very good order with plump inners, secure buttons and working zips. These cushions simply sit on the frame. One or two of the seat cushion buttons are a little worn on top, as shown, but this is minimal. The upholstered arms are fixed and are also in very good order. The fixed leather upholstery on the frame is in very good order too. Overall, there are just minor signs of wear to the leather, surface wrinkling as you would expect and very much part of its appeal. Likewise, the wooden frame carries just very minor, superficial scuffs and marks – again, browse our photos for an accurate sense of this. The sofa is really well-made, solid and stable with no repairs or concerns. There is no maker’s mark but it was imported from directly from Sweden and our research tells us its made by Gote Mobler Massjo and dates from the early 1970s.
