Midcentury 1960s Teak Corner Cabinet / Bar
Here’s a really useful, yet discreet storage piece, designed to sit quietly in the corner without demanding too much space. Dating from the 1960s, it’s classic MCM by design with a simple, minimalist look that doesn’t compromise on good craftsmanship. It’s a quality piece that’s very well-made in teak. Originally designed for use as a drinks cabinet, it’s tall enough to house bottles with room for glasses and accessories as well. Nowadays, it could be put to good use in any interior space from bedroom to bathroom to living room to lounge, such is its neutral appeal. It’s just an ever so versatile storage cabinet.
Description
This original, vintage corner cabinet is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition. It has been checked, cleaned inside and out, and a natural beeswax polish applied to the exterior wood surfaces to revive it a little but otherwise the finish is all original. It’s in great shape. The three lower drawers slide with ease, are beautifully made with dovetail joints and all have clean, tidy interiors. The large upper cupboard features a removable shelf and plenty of height for bottles and glasses. Overall, there is just light wear and tear to the exterior wood surfaces in line with its age. Do browse our photos to get an accurate sense of its fantastic condition. It’s well-made, solid and stable with no areas of concern. There is no maker’s mark in place sadly.
