Midcentury 1960s Extending Teak Coffee Table by Trioh, Denmark

This Danish midcentury coffee table in teak by Trioh is generous enough in size in regular mode, but it extends greatly at either end, taking it up to over 1.8M in width when the need arises. Cleverly hidden underneath the main table top when not in use, the two extensions are simply pulled out at either side. Perfect for drinks, canapes, cocktails, afternoon tea, board games, cards and more. With a slatted rack underneath for books or magazines, it’s a handsome piece ready for the central spot in your living room.

Description

This is an original, vintage coffee table that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition. The table has been checked, cleaned and a natural beeswax polish applied but otherwise the finish is original. There is minor wear and tear, just superficial, light signs of use, primarily on the main table top as you would expect. The two extending leaves when not in use live underneath the main table top. To extend them, they simply pull out from either side. All mechanisms and runners are in good working order. The finish on the two extending leaves is a little darker than the main table top, a common occurrence with vintage extending tables. This is simply due to less use and less sunlight fading. Please refer to our photos.  It’s a really well-made table, substantial and heavy. The Trioh make’s stamp can be seen on the underside.
