Classic Midcentury Danish Chest of Drawers
A classic piece of Scandinavian domestic furniture, Danish in origin and ticking all the MCM boxes for form and function. With a minimalist, streamlined design, we love the slender, integrated drawer handles, the elegant legs and the slightly longer side panels, elongating the piece. There’s plenty of practical storage across six drawers and the overall condition is great. Just light signs of its age on this well-made, thoughtfully designed piece.

Description
This original, mid century chest of drawers is ‘sold as seen’. Overall it is in good – very good, used condition. The piece has been cleaned, inside and out, and a natural beeswax polish applied and buffed on the external surfaces, but otherwise the finish is original. All six drawers slide easily, are very well made with dovetail joints and have clean, interiors. There are some minor marks here and there on the exterior wood, primarily on the top surface where there are some light, superficial scratches – please refer to our photos. They are only really noticeable when they catch the light. One of the drawer handles has been filled a little at the front but this has been expertly done and is almost imperceptible. It’s only detectable when you run a finger across it and can feel the slightest variance. See if you can tell from our photos! Do browse through our photos for an accurate sense of its cracking condition. It comes with a key to lock the top drawer. Although no maker’s mark the inner back board is branded Swedish as seen on a lot of Danish midcentury originals. Should you have any questions or would like to view this piece, just get in touch.

Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with our delivery partners who cover most of the country (please enquire for Scotland or remote addresses). They are reliable and insured, and we have worked with them for many years. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-3 days later. Please be aware the delivery service we can offer does require some flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but they will keep you updated directly regarding their anticipated timings. You are also welcome to collect (we’re based in Haverhill, Suffolk) and we’re happy to hold pieces after purchase while you make collection arrangements and consider your options.
