Description

This original, vintage sofa is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition. The leather upholstery has been given a good surface clean with a specialist nourishing leather cleaner. The original black leather upholstery is in very good order on the cushions. There are eight cushions in total with working zips and plump cushion inners, all in good order. There are minor signs of wear and tear, and some wrinkling and fading, primarily on the seat cushion tops and edges as they bear the brunt of use, but this is entirely as you would expect with used leather and is part of its nature. This is shown in our photos. The Stouby branded finishing cloth is in good order underneath the seat cushions with some small marks, as shown, but nothing unsavoury. The fixed leather on the sofa frame is in good order too, hugging the frame tightly. There are some scuffs and superficial marks here and there where the sofa has been rubbed against but in the overall context of the piece, this is minor and not particularly noticeable.  As you would expect from a quality brand like Stouby, the sofa is superbly constructed, solid and sturdy with no wobbles or creaks. There are some light scuffs on the four beech wooden legs. It dates from the 1970s and is branded. Do browse our photos for a good sense of its order.
