Antique Edwardian Bow Front Small Mahogany Bookcase with Drawer

What a sweet thing this is. An Edwardian mahogany dwarf book shelf / stand with a frieze drawer, plinth base and a curved front. With its neat dimensions, it can be put to good use in all manner of rooms from bedroom to bathroom to entrance hall to a child’s bedroom where smaller furniture leaves maximum play space. Considering its antique years, it’s in remarkably good order. A very well-made piece of British origin. We love the ornate, dangling brass handles.

Description

This is an original, antique piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition, dating from the early 1900s. We have cleaned and buffed the wood with a natural beeswax polish, but otherwise left the original finish alone. It is a vintage item however, so does carry some minor marks from wear and tear in line with its considerable age. The drawer slides with ease and is clean and tidy inside. The brass handles are in very good, secure order. The construction is solid and stable with no repairs. Please refer to our photos for a good sense of its condition.
