Antique Arts & Crafts Oak Hall Stand

Ideal for busy households, a vintage hall stand creates a welcome entrance hall hub for depositing / collecting outdoor essentials as people come and go. A spot where keys, bags, gloves, brollies, walking canes and more can be stowed and then found, keeping clutter contained and ordered. This fine example is classic Arts & Crafts in design, dating from the turn of the 20th century. It’s hand-crafted in oak with simple, understated decorative features where the cut-out spaces and shapes are as thoughtful and important as the wood itself. What makes this particular one stand out is it’s all original from the double hooks to the green tiled panel to the drip trays. It’s complete. It features a bevelled edge mirror so you can give yourself the final once over before you step out and a glove box too. Tall but shallow, it doesn’t intrude.

Description

This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition. We have given the stand a thorough check and clean but otherwise the finish is all original and in great order considering its age and purpose. As you would expect with an antique item such as this, there are signs of wear and use here and there. These are minimal though and do not affect the appeal of the piece in any way – in fact they rather add to it in our view. There are no repairs that we can see. Please refer to our photos for an accurate sense of its great vintage condition. There is no maker’s label in place but it’s British in origin. We offer FREE LOCAL DELIVERY within a 15 mile radius of CB9 7XU – please get in touch prior to purchase to discuss. Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with our delivery partners who cover most of the country (please enquire for Scotland or remote addresses). They are reliable and insured, and we have worked with them for many years. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-3 days later. Please be aware the delivery service we can offer does require some flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but they will keep you updated directly regarding their anticipated timings.
