Original Danish Midcentury Off-white Ceiling Pendant Lampshade

An impressive, large, vintage Scandinavian ceiling lampshade with a simple, elegant design. We love the triplet of rings above the main shade that glow upwards when on, creating a subtle note of distinction. Originally this would have been an extending shade (a very seventies trend!) that you could pull up or down over the table, hence the handle underneath but we love this as a feature and a nod to its past.

Description

This original, vintage piece is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have carefully cleaned and fully restored it with new, compliant fittings and an energy efficient bulb, and with a generous length of white, fabric-coated, braided flex, ready for it to be wired into place. There are very minor surface marks and scuffs here and there but wouldn’t be noticeable when in position. This wear and tear is what we might expect with a piece of this age and material. Although no marker’s label, this lampshade is imported directly from Denmark and dates from the 1970s. If you have questions, please do ask.
