Midcentury 1960s Danish Tall Black Vinyl Armchair

Here’s a classic, cool, Scandinavian armchair that looks sensational from all angles. There’s not a single curve or line here that hasn’t been executed with thought and precision. It’s a perfectly balanced piece of midcentury design. Not only did those Danish designers know a thing or two about good looking furniture but they also knew all about function. Description

This original, vintage armchair is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. It has been checked, the vinyl cleaned with a specialist cleaner and a natural beeswax polish applied to the wooden frame. The original black vinyl upholstery is in very good order. It’s fixed to the frame so no loose cushions and there are no areas of concern. The five buttons that stud the back show some signs on wear – please see our photos – and the studs used to edge the back are a little tarnished but all buttons and studs are securely affixed. The solid teak frame is in very good condition with just very minor signs of wear. It’s a really nicely crafted chair with no areas of concern. Although no maker’s mark, this is a Danish original , imported directly and dates from the 1960s.
