Vintage 1970s German ‘Krups’ Orange Flip Alarm Clock – Restored

Wake up to some serious kitsch kool with this vintage flip roll electric clock. Made by Krups of Germany, it dates from the 1970s and you can tell because it’s in classic seventie’s orange! Hours, minutes and seconds click and flip by, as do the days on the vivid black and white display. It’s an alarm clock too although the buzzer is a touch startling versus the gentler options of phone alarms. This is a rare find that’s been restored and tested for UK compliancy. Very quirky and very fun.

Description

This original, vintage electric clock is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition and has been restored and PAT tested with a new plug. The clock and alarm mechanisms are in very good, working order, flipping with a satisfying click. Sadly the LED is no longer in place – it wasn’t working and we couldn’t replace like for like. Alternative modern ones have proved too bright for this small piece. There are very light marks and minor scratches to the orange plastic casing but as you can see in our photos, nothing to flag and the wear’s in line with its age.
