Pair of Original Vintage 1970s G Plan Fresco Floating Bedside Tables

Pairs of bedside stands are one of our most requested items so we’re delighted to have sourced these classics from G Plan’s Fresco range. Simple and elegant in design, they’re made in teak veneer and afromosia, the latter creating the subtly distinct darker border, single leg and handles. Originally attached to a huge wooden headboard, they look much better in our view as discreet ‘floating’ tables. They come with a generous drawer and top surface for those all important night time bits and pieces.

Description

This original, vintage pair of bedside stands is ‘sold as seen’. They are in good, used condition. We have given them a thorough clean and applied a natural beeswax polish to the exterior surfaces but otherwise the finish is all original. They would have attached to a large headboard originally. Now they are ‘floating’ but will need to be fixed / screwed to the wall for stability. They should not simply lean as they are likely to topple over. We have added two discreet brass plate fixings behind each drawer for this purpose so they can be invisibly attached to the wall. The drawers slide with ease and have clean, tidy interiors. The G Plan label can be seen in the base. There are minor marks and scuffs here and there in line with their age and function, and primarily on the top surface as you would expect.
