Vintage Industrial Metal Free-standing Tiered Shelves

An unusual, old find with so much character and so many possible uses in a vintage-inspired home. This free-standing, metal shelf stand has four, sturdy, tiered wooden platforms. Tall and skinny, it’s space-saving and can be collapsed for easy movement. Use for books and magazines; display your ceramics and home treasures; loads with plants to create a green, natural feature; use in your bathroom for towels, lotions and perfumes, add it to your kitchen for stacking pots and pans. It most likely dates from the fifties / sixties. The white painted finish is chipped and scarred but we love this untouched patination which adds greatly to its vintage appeal.

Description

This original, vintage piece is ‘sold as seen’. It is in fair – good, used condition. We have given it a surface clean but otherwise the finish is original and as you can see in our photos the original white paint finish comes chipped and marked. The folding mechanism, four shelves and hinges are in good working order. It’s solid and stable, a well-engineered piece with a great deal of charm.
