Description
This is an original, vintage chair that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in overall good, used condition. The leather has been checked and cleaned with a nourishing leather balm. The leather upholstery on the large, single over-sized cushion is in good – very good order. Although wrinkled, bruised and faded patches in places this is the nature of vintage leather and a quality we love. It’s thick, soft and supple with a working zip and plump inners. The Bramin-branded backing cloth on the underside of the cushion was fraying a little on the seam on its front edge where it joined the leather. We have stabilised this by adhering two bands of leather. We’ve shown this in our photos and of course it won’t show as its under the cushion. The fixed leather upholstery on the curved chair frame is in overall good order, although it is a little knocked and scuffed round the back where spinning has scraped the wall – please refer to our photos. The finishing cloth on the frame is clean and securely attached but it is lightly stained on either inside arm as we have shown. The chrome swivel base is in very good working order, rotating with ease. The chrome legs have their feet caps in place and there is a little speckling on the metal but it’s not noticeable unless closely inspected. The original Bramin sticker is affixed under the cushion.
