Description
This is an original Ercol, vintage table that is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, it is in very good, used condition but it has been modified so do read on. The table has been cleaned and a natural beeswax polish applied but otherwise the finish is original. The legs have been shortened reducing the table height, measured from the ground to the table top, to 62cm – it would have been 72cm. You can still push in smaller dining chairs (we’ve used Ercol 391s in our photos) around the four sides but note, the shelf rack means you cannot readily tuck your legs under. The modification has been evenly and well done – there are wobbles or concerns with the legs, they’re just frustratingly shorter and this is reflected in our price. Otherwise there are just minor, very light signs of wear and tear to the solid beech, splayed legs and solid British elm table top. Please do view our photos for a good sense of the finish, super condition and grain. It’s particularly well-made, solid and sturdy as you would expect from Ercol. There is no blue label in place but this is a well-documented model that we attribute with 100% confidence. If you’ve any questions or would like to view this piece, please get in touch.
