Description
This original, vintage sofa is ‘sold as seen’. It’s in good – very good, used condition. The piece has been thoroughly vacuumed and checked but otherwise left well alone as it’s in such great shape. The original gold velvet upholstery is in good order, hugging the contours of the frame tightly. There are some small patches around the back and sides where the pile of the velvet has been flattened, most likely there it’s rested against a wall or another piece of furniture. We feel this is minor wear that doesn’t compromise the appeal of the sofa. The piping and back buttons are securely attached. There is a small area by the front right leg where the piping finish is a little untidy. This is because a fringed trim has been removed from the bottom edge of the sofa and there is a faint line where this was once attached. The frame itself is solidly built with no wobbles or joint concerns. Sadly there is no maker’s mark but we’ve imported this sofa directly from Denmark and it most likely dates from the 1970s / early 1980s.
