Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition. We have thoroughly cleaned the cabinet inside and out, and applied a natural beeswax polish to the external surfaces to restore the shine but otherwise left the original, high sheen lacquer finish alone. The cabinet has been rewired with new black flex, new bulb, switch and PAT tested. The two lower cupboard doors swing with ease, have a working lock and key, have closures and inner bolts in good order. The cupboard features a fixed, upper shelf and a metal-lined, ringed lower shelf for bottle storage. The tall, glass panelled end cupboards are intended for further bottles and glasses. They each feature two fixed glass shelves and both are lockable. All the glass, shelf brackets, hinges, locks, trims and interiors here are good order. Some of the interior putty has dried and chipped with age (shown in our photos) but all glass panels are securely held in place. Pull down the large upper cupboard handle and the illuminated cocktail bar is revealed. The door creates a mixing shelf and the interior is mirrored. There is light wear to the mirrors and the interior here, which can be seen in our photos. All hinges, mechanisms and closures are in good working order. As you can see it comes complete with lemon squeezer and cocktail sticks. If you wished to disable the light, there is a separate switch at the back. All handles are securely attached and in good order. The exterior surfaces of this large piece are worn with age and use. This is clearly visible in our photos so do browse them. It’s primarily small chips, surface marks and light cracks to the original high sheen varnish and veneer edges. The Turnidge marker’s plate can be seen inside the door. It’s a large piece (heavy too!), very well-made, sturdy and substantial.
