Midcentury Danish White Spotlight Floor Lamp – Fully Restored
A particularly handsome floor lamp with a striking single, white, trumpet spotlight that can be height-adjusted and rotated on its chrome arm to get the illumination just right. Heralding from Denmark, this most likely dates from the early 1970s and comes with provenance and style. Now carefully restored to modern compliance standards, it’s ready for the next 50 years of lighting up a spot in the home.
Description
This original, vintage floor lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition and has been fully restored with care and expertise. The lamp has been rewired with new black, fabric-braided flex, an energy efficient bulb and plug, and it has PAT tested to meet modern regulations. The switch is integral to the spotlight as you can see in our pictures. The spotlight can be angled with a ball joint arm, and it can be height-adjusted on the main stem by unscrewing / tightening the arm. As you can see from our photos, the metalwork including the weighted base carries very minor tarnishes and scratches including a dent about an inch long (shown on our photos). This light wear is in line with its age and we don’t feel it detracts from the appeal of the piece. It’s imported from Denmark and dates from the 1970s.
