Original Vintage Ercol Three Tier Drinks / Hostess Trolley

As you would expect from Ercol, this is a beautifully designed and expertly crafted, functional piece of solid wood furniture. Drinks / hostess trolley rather fell out of fashion but they were a staple of the 1970s – 1980s home, essential for socialising to move your drinks and canapes around with ease. They’re now enjoying something of a renaissance as they make excellent space dividers and moveable shelves for books, plants and more. This one is in fantastic condition, moving freely on its castors.

Description

This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. It’s beautifully made in solid beech and elm, Ercol’s favoured woods, and the original finish is ‘light’. It dates from the 1970s. We have cleaned the piece and applied a natural beeswax polish but otherwise left the original finish alone as it’s in great shape. There are very minor scuffs and marks to the wood, primarily on the top tier as you might expect – please see our photos. The castors move freely and are original. Please refer to our photos for an accurate sense of the condition of this item.
