Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. The chest of drawers itself is in good, used condition. We have given it a thorough clean inside and out, and applied a natural beeswax polish. All six drawers slide with ease, are well made with dovetail joints and have clean interiors. The finish of the exterior oak veneer is a little marked and scuffed. There are small, superficial scratches across the top drawer fronts, primarily on the top one. They are very light just to the finish (our hunch is a cat was responsible) and cannot be felt if you run a finger across them, but they are nonetheless there, more noticeable when the light catches them. Please see our photos of them close up and then in the overall context of the piece because they are note wildly obvious. On the dresser top, there is a small faded patch to one side, again shown in our photos. It is solidly made and sturdy with no wobbles. This is a nicely made, good-looking item of vintage furniture with much life left in it. The Stag maker’s label is affixed inside the top drawer.
