Vintage Ercol Windsor 370A Carver Chair
A single, Ercol 370A carver dining that’s in superb, original condition, for use at the kitchen table, at a desk or as an occasional seat in any space. One of the most popular and enduring chair designs in the Ercol Windsor range, the 370 and 370A were made between 1957 and 1982. This particular one dates from the 1960s. It’s a fine-looking piece made from solid British elm and beech ‘blond’ woods with six back spindles and a generous seat height and width, providing great comfort. With its upturned, welcoming arms, this is classic, vintage Ercol at its best.
Description
This original, vintage chair is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, it’s in very good, used condition. We have given the chair a clean and polish with a natural beeswax but otherwise we have left the original finish alone, such is its good order. There are minor, superficial scuffs here and there, as you might expect with furniture of this age, but absolutely nothing to flag or that is noticeable. It is superbly crafted, stable and sturdy with no repairs. The blue Ercol label is affixed to the back of the chair and it is stamped underneath. The poppers are in place underneath the seat should you wish to attach Ercol cushions. Please do browse our photos for a good sense of its colour and condition.
