Description
This original, vintage piece is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good – excellent, used condition. We have cleaned the leather on all eight cushions and the fixed leather upholstery on the frame. The three back and two side cushions zip into position, the centre back cushion cannot be unzipped entirely though. It looks as if the zip has been glued, perhaps because the end is broken (without being able to unzip it fully, we can’t tell). However, the zips are well hidden beneath the cushion over-hang so this has no bearing on the look or function of the piece, and you can still access the other zip to get to the cushion inner. The aniline leather (a Napa leather that’s particularly soft and of the highest quality) across all the cushions is in excellent order, the inners are goose down so super soft and plump, and each cushion has a working zip. The fixed leather upholstery on the frame is also in very good order. There are some wrinkles and scuffs here and there along the back and on the arm ends but as you see from our photos, these are very minimal. The sofa is beautifully constructed, heavy and solid with no issues or areas of concern. The finishing underneath the cushions is branded N Eilersen and the maker’s label is on the bottom of the sofa too.
