Rare Midcentury Stag Teak Dressing Table Vanity Desk
These vanity desks are rare finds. Smaller than a dressing table and with a mirror that folds away, they are more practical and neat in the modern bedroom. This particular model by Stag dating from the 1970s rarely comes around and it’s in really great order. Lift the hinged lid / top to reveal a large mirror and a white vinyl surface for lotions and potions. There is a deeper recessed area at the back too for larger bottles so a plentiful storage for your dressing table essentials. We love how discreet it is when in its ‘closed’ mode and we love too those blocky, solid sides.
Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have cleaned the piece thoroughly inside and out, applying a natural beeswax polish to the external wood. The hinged top which simply lifts from the front is in excellent working order, resting in an upright, angled position for vanity table mode. The mirror is in very good order. The interior has a white vinyl front section which is very clean and tidy, and a recessed, full-width back section for taller bottles and items. The exterior wood has some minor scuffs and knocks here and there in line with its age. Have a browse of our photos for a clear sense of this – it’s light wear and tear. The table is well-made, sturdy with no signs of repair. The Stag label is still in place.
