Pair of Vintage 1960s Teak Bedside Tables with Drawers

It’s rare to find a matching pair of bedside tables – they get separated across the years so more often than not we just acquire single pieces. This pair though are quite the find and are in fantastic order. Although we’ve been unable to attribute them, they undoubtedly have mid century origins, most likely dating from the late 1960s. Made in teak with a clean, simple, elegant design, they are smart, compact and functional with a slimline drawer for bedroom accoutrements.

Description

This pair of original, vintage bedside tables are ‘sold as seen’. They are in very good, used condition. They have been thoroughly cleaned inside and out, and the top surfaces have been carefully stripped and refinished with oil and polish, a partial restoration. Both drawers slide with ease, feature dovetail joints and have clean, tidy interiors with only light signs of wear. There are some very minor scuffs and knocks to the exterior teak wood surfaces but overall this is light and minor. Please see our photos. One of the tables is slightly more golden in colour than the other due to sunlight fading – this one must have been nearer a window. They are well made pieces, solid and stable with no areas of concern or repairs. Sadly there are no maker’s marks but they date from the 1960s, most likely the latter end of the decade.
