Pair of Original Vintage Ercol ‘Yellow Dot’ Children’s Stacking Chairs

Originally designed for use as a child’s school chair, Ercol’s stacking chair range came in different sizes, denoted by a coloured dot at the back – yellow, red, green and blue. This size is the yellow dot design (the dots are still visible at the back of all the chairs) and this pair is ever so sweet. They are solid and sturdy, designed to take the wear and tear of kids! They are in great condition given their years – the dot stacking chair range dates from 1963. They can of course be used as a children’s chairs still but they are also quite simply, fine-looking, eye-catching objects, either stacked or set apart. They can be put to good use as side tables by favourite seats, matching stands for the bedside or next to the bath in a country cottage for lotions and potions. Or they make a nice spot to display a dramatic houseplant or ceramic piece perhaps.  They are beautiful vintage things with considerable charm.
