Original Vintage Danish Black Leather Three Seater Sofa
A fine example of Danish design that combines smart, good looks with home comfort. This stylish sofa, dating from the late 1970s, was imported directly from Denmark and you can see its look is influenced by Borge Mogensen. It’s in great shape and ready for a new home and the next 20 years of use. Low and lean, this sofa has a fantastic profile with its curved arms. Its clean-cut style means it will mix and match with other seating from different periods too.
Description
This original, vintage sofa is ‘sold as seen’. It’s in good – very good, used condition. We have washed the leather and applied a neutral, nourishing leather balm. All six cushions are in very good order with plump inners and working zips. The leather carries creases and minor marks from use but this is in line with what we would expect from vintage, used leather. The fixed leather upholstery on the frame is in good order too. Again, there are light marks and scuffs here and there, and we have shown some specific wear on the corner of left hand arm end. Overall, it’s not very noticeable as you can see on our wider shots. The cloth underneath the cushions is in good order apart from a small hole, shown in our photos. We haven’t repaired this as it obviously isn’t visible, nor is it likely to deteriorate further. It’s a minor flaw. The frame itself is solid and stable with no wobbles or joint concerns. It’s a well-made, authentic Danish piece. Sadly there is no maker’s mark.
